Mrs. James DUNN departed this life Wednesday, March 7, 1900 at 3:00 P.M. in her 71st year. Her maiden name was Mariah McINTIRE, and she was born in Bartholomew Co., Ind., June 15 1829, emigrated with her parents to the Territory of Iowa in the year 1844, settling in Wapello County. Married Thomas CARVER Feb 11 1849, settling on a farm near County Line, where they resided for a number of years, his death occurring in 1878. She then moved to Fairfield where she remained until her death. Feb 22 1894 she was again married to Mr. James DUNN, who survives her, being numbered among the earliest settlers of Wapello and Jefferson Counties. U.B. Church.... Departed was laid to rest in the Rominger Cemetery near County Line.
