RICHLAND RITES SATURDAY FOR FRANK HOLMES.

Frank HOLMES, 89, retired Richland farmer, died Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Good Samaritan home north of Ottumwa... Burial will be in Brooks cemetery south of Packwood.

HOLMES was born June 3, 1873, in Marshfield, Ind., the son of George and Elisha HOLMES. He came to Fairfield in 1900 and married Caroline HUPP Sept. 21, 1902. After HOLMES' retirement, the couple lived in Fairfield for several years. Mrs. HOLMES died in 1956. During recent years HOLMES made his home with a son, Ray HOMES, at Ottumwa. Other survivors are two sons, Paul HOLMES, Richland; and Warnie HOLMES, Fairfield. Also surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Hazel JACKSON, Moline, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Rose LYON, Merna, Neb.; and 10 grandchildren. HOLMES was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one step-son, one brother and two sisters.

Note: Caroline was first married to Frank L. SALTS who is buried in Gantz Cemetery. She is buried with Frank B. HOLMES in Brooks Cemetery.
