Mrs. MANNHARDT Taken In Death

Last rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Emma Ollie MANNHARDT, 88, native of Jefferson county who died Sunday at 11 a.m. at her home, 51 S. Fifth. She had been in failing health the past six years and seriously ill the past two months.

The services will be held a tthe Lutheran church with the Rev. Harold Kruger officating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken from the Raymond funeral home to the church at 1 p.m. the day of the services.

Emma Ollie MANNHARDT was born July 25, 1873, in the Germanville community, the daughter of H.W. and Caroline KNERR SCHMADAKA. She was reared and educated in the Germanville community and was married Nov. 9, 1898, at Germanville to Henry MANNHARDT (sic - Charles Henry MANNHARDT) who survives. The wedding took place in the Lutheran parsonage. The family has lived in Fairfield the past 11 years.

Mrs. MANNHARDT was a member of the Lutheran church and the Ladies Circle, Woodmen of the World.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Osie MANNHARDT, at home; one sister, Mrs. Harry BENNETT, Fairfield; six nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six sisters.

Note: Husband Charles would survive her by many years, dying at age 108 in 1981. They are buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, in Lot 3rd.008.
