PACKWOOD. .... Mrs. DAVIS, who came to her daughter, Mrs. EVERETT, in December last, and was not able to return to her home in Abingdon on account of a fatal disease that attacked her already enfeebled body, died March 4th (sic - 3rd on stone).... Funeral services were conducted at the home of J. L. EVERETT by Rev. Garrison, and the remains were taken to the Christian Church in Abingdon, where her friends and neighbors could once more look upon the features of their old time friend; the body was then laid at rest by the side of the companion of her youth, John PETERS.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I am not related to the person(s) mentioned.

Note: Buried in Abingdon Cemetery. She was married three times, first to John PETERS, second to Strawder TROXELL (TROXEL), and third to Joseph DAVIS. Her maiden name was HOLDEN.
