DEATH OF MRS. McKEE.

Valinda (sic - Volender) B. McCARTY, wife of Gilbert W. McKEE, died in this city Monday, after an illness of less than a week. Mrs. McKEE was born at Oakland, Md., April 29, 1836. She graduated from the Female Seminary at Washington, Penn., and spent a number of years as a teacher. June 21st, 1866, she was married in this county and lived for a long time on a farm north of this city. She had made Fairfield her home for sixteen years past.... Her husband, a brother and sister survive her. Funeral services were held at the home this morning and the body was interred in the Wheeler cemetery, north of the city.
