Former Jefferson County Resident Died May 27 in Greeley, Colo.
The remains of J. M. LOVING, who died May 27 at the home of his daughter Mrs. Margaret LEWIS in Greeley, Colo., were brought to this city yesterday afternoon and taken to the F. D. Kerrick Funeral Parlors. Short funeral services in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly of the Christian church were held this morning at 9 o'clock at the grave, where in terment took place in Evergreen (sic - Fiedler) cemetery. Dr. LOVING, who has been in very poor health for the past two years, died Sunday. He was born July 30, 1844, at Rome, Henry County, Iowa, and grew to young manhood near this place. At the age of 19 years he went to Idaho with a wagon train. On his return to this county he was married to Miss Alice M. MILLER, who died in 1915. Six children, three of whom preceded the parents in death. Surviving: R. E. LOVING and Mrs. Gertrude JOHNSON of Des Moines, and Mrs. LEWIS of Greeley, Colo.

Note: Although his obituary notes he was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, as of this posting there is only one LOVING burial there: that of Eliza A. LOVING, wife of Christopher J. LOVING, Jr.. When local genealogists read the cemeteries in the 1960s and 1970s, James M. LOVING was found in Fiedler Cemetery.
