SALINA -- The twin daughters of M. R. COLLINS, Zola and Zelia (sic - Zoe and Zella), are dead; one died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, the other at 5 a.m. Sunday; they were buried in one casket from the family residence at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Rev. W. S. Mitchell conducting the services; they were about three months old.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I am not related to the person(s) mentioned.

Note: Although the obituary is noted in the "Jefferson County Records" section for Chilcott Cemetery, there is also a gravestone in Evergreen Cemetery in Lot Old.P.355 for these two girls (noted as Zella and Zoe). The numerical lot listing for Evergreen does not note a burial or re-burial so it appears the girls actually rest in Chilcott Cemetery. They are the daughters of Melvin R. and Cloie D. MONSON COLLINS who are buried in Evergreen, and the granddaughters of Waltus and Jane COLLINS who are buried in Chilcott. They were born October 28, 1900. One of the girls died on February 16th, the other on the 17th.
