Many old residents of this county will learn with regret of the death of Mr. Henry C. LONG, which occurred at Salina, of consumption, Thursday last. Mr. LONG was in the fifty-third (sic - 49th) year of his age, and had lived in Jefferson County many years, formerly on a farm, but lately as a merchant. A wife and three children are left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father.

Note: Buried in Chilcott Cemetery. His wife was Ruth CHILCOTT, and she remarried William DUNLAP and is buried in Salina Cemetery with no gravestone.
