"The death of another very old gentleman occurred last Saturday in that of Mr. Jerome Lavell, grandfather of Mr. Jno. Manatrey. Mr. Lavell had been ailing for some time past and his death was looked for. He had been a resident of this country nearly forty years, coming here from France, and has always been held in high estimation by his friends and neighbors. He was in his 78th year. The funeral took place Sunday, when the remains were interred in the Pattison grave yard, in Cedar township."
