Mary V. MORGAN

Mary Verle MORGAN, 103, of Richland died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at Maplewood Manor in Keota. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Richland with the Rev. Wilbur Morfitt officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery at Richland. Family visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland. The family request memorials to the United Methodist Church, Richland Library or Maplewood Manor, in lieu of flowers.

Mrs. MORGAN was born Aug. 14, 1894, near Veo, the daughter of George and Olive GOWERY (sic. GOWEY) BALDERSON. She attended country school No. 5 to sixth grade when the family moved to Richland. She graduated from Richland High School in 1915. She married Orville MORGAN on Sept. 15, 1915, in Fairfield. He died May 26, 1950. She was formerly a member of the Rubio Friends Church and was currently a member of the United Methodist Church at Richland.

Survivors include three sons, Charles and John, both of Nevada, and Bill of Maryland; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Bertha; and two brothers, Earl and Raymond "Turk."
