"PACKWOOD. Miss Mary Lyon, 82, died today at the home of her brother D. N. Lyon in Packwood. Daughter of Rev. Fredrick Lyon and Rachel Lyon, pioneers in this section of Iowa. Born in Keokuk County near Richland in 1853. Survived by five brothers, Whitfield and Luther of Richland; John S. of Nebr., Michael of Kan., and D. N. at whose home she died; and one sister, Mrs. Clara McClintic of Batavia. Bur. Blue Point Cemetery."
