Word was received in this city yesterday by Mrs. John DeMARSH of the death of her sister Mrs. Byron LaGRANGE of Kansas City, Kansas, which occurred yesterday morning and was sudden. Mrs. LaGRANGE had been sent word of the serious illness of her sister, Mrs. Frank DeMARSH in this city and it was not known that she was ill. Two sisters, Mrs. John DeMARSH and Mrs. Frank DeMARSH, both of this city, survive, besides Mrs. LaGRANGE's immediate family. She was for a number of years a resident of Perlee. Because of the serious condition of Mrs. Frank DeMARSH, relatives from this city cannot leave to attend the funeral.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I am not related to the person(s) mentioned.

Note: The maiden name of Mrs. John DeMARSH, Mrs. Frank DeMARSH, and Mrs. Byron LaGRANGE was URIE. Alverda's parents David URIE and 2nd wife are buried in Upper Richwoods Cemetery.
