"Mrs. Chas. Walton died last Sunday morning. Lotetia Torrey was born in Marshall County, Ill., May 2 1860 and when 14 came with her parents, Benoni and Rosamond Torrey, to Keokuk County, Iowa. Six years later married near Keota, then moving to the farm southwest of Brighton. Seven children, all living: Mrs. Clara Griffith of Fairfield; Roberta of Pleasant Plain; Mrs. Golda Jackson of Washington; Mrs. Zella Shy of Woolson; Elsie of Pleasant Plain; Mrs. Cora Diller of Brighton; and Otto D. Walton of Pleasant Plain. Also survived by husband, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Hannah Hogue of Washington, Iowa; Mrs. Elizabeth Frank of Fairfield, and Mr. Fletcher C. Torry of Keota, Iowa; four grandchildren. Interment in Friends Cemetery at Pleasant Plain."
