Charles L. HUNT, 79, of Fairfield, died Monday evening, Feb. 28, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home.

Charles L. HUNT

Charles L. HUNT, 79, of Fairfield, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Nate Nims officiating. Graveside rites will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Graham Cemetery in Graham, Mo.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Helen K. Rossi House-University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics or First United Methodist Church. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1307 Dogwood Drive, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. HUNT was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Biglow, Mo., the son of Harry and Evelyn DOZIER HUNT. He married Phyllis Jean CRAIN June 7, 1953, in Graham, Mo.

Mr. HUNT had worked for ANR Natural Gas Pipeline Co. in Birmingham as a superintendent for 36 years.

Mr. HUNT served in the U.S. Army and Natinal Guard and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; two children: Lara HENRY of Cleveland, Ga., and Randy HUNT and wife Stacey of Kingsville, Mo.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two siblings: Jeanne HOLMQUIST of Lakewood, Colo., and Vona EDWARDS of Savannah, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister in infancy.
