The body of Mrs. James KUEHL, former local resident who took her own life at her home near Limestone, Me., early Sunday morning, will be returned to Fairfield for last rites and burial.
Mrs. KUEHL, 29, the former Eileen GRABER, was the daughter of Mrs. Henrietta GRABER, 505 W. Merrill street, and Dr. Harold E. GRABER, Mt. Holly Springs, Pa.
Word reaching Fairfield yesterday said Mrs. KUEHL died of self-inflicted knife wounds. She was found by her husband, Lt. James KUEHL, in the kitchen of their home at Loring Air Force base near Limestone, Me., where he is stationed.
She had worked at the air force base hospital until about midnight Saturday, and hat gotten up before her husband early Sunday morning. Mrs. KUEHL was still alive, but unconscious, when found, but she was dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Mrs. KUEHL’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Dick LAWSON, reside at the same air base just a short distance from the KUEHL home. They were notified at once, and they in turn notified relatives here in Fairfield.
Mrs. LAWSON and children arrived home early this morning. Her husband was unable to get away from his duties at the air base where he is stationed.
It is expected the body will arrive about Wednesday. It will be taken to the Weston Behner Funeral home upon arrival where funeral arrangements will be held. Lt. KUEHL will accompany the body.

Verna Eileen GRABER was born Feb. 22, 1926, at Iowa City. She attended grade schools here and was a graduate from the Fairfield high school.She was united in marriage on Oct. 15, 1954, to Lt. James KUEHL. The wedding took place at the Loring Air Force base where he was stationed.
Besides her husband, Mrs. KUEHL is survived by her mother, Mrs. Henrietta GRABER, Fairfield; her father, Dr. H. E. GRABER, Mt. Holly Springs, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Stuart MADISON, Sunnyvale, Calif.; Mrs. Joan LAWSON, Loring Air Force Base, Me., and a brother, Harold Frederick “Fritz” GRABER, now serving in the navy and stationed at Memphis, Tenn.
