DEATH CLAIMS WENDELL EMRY

Wendell E. EMRY, 28, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henderson EMRY, 308 E. Lowe street, passed away this morning at 3:30 a.m. in a hospital at Los Angeles, California. He had been in failing health the past seven and a half years and critically ill the past week.

His father left Fairfield Saturday and flew to California, arriving before his son’s death.

The body will be returned to Fairfield for last rites and burial. The services will be in charge of the Hoskins funeral home.

Wendell Ellsworth EMRY was born June 5, 1919, in Van Buren county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henderson and Myrtle HOLLANDER EMRY. He graduated from the Fairfield high school with the class of 1937 and attended Parsons college.

He went to California four and a half years ago and for the past four years had lived in Hollywood. He was married in Hollywood on May 3, 1947, to Carol BOYD. Mr. EMRY was a member of the First Lutheran church.

Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a sister, Virginia, Fairfield, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer HOLLANDER, also of Fairfield.

Last Rites Friday For Wendell EMRY

Last rites will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. for Wendell EMRY, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hendersn EMRY, who passed away in a hospital at Los Angeles, California, last Monday. The services will be at the Lutheran church with Dr. E. A. Piper in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The body will be taken from the Hoskins funeral home to the church at 2 p.m. on the day of the service. Mr. EMRY had made his home in California the past year and a half.
