"Obit. Abraham Jones, son of Thos. & Mary, born near Friendsville, Tenn., May 11 1850. At age of 6 years came with his parents to Iowa and settled near Richland, where he spent most of his life. Married Rachel Emry Jan 28 1876; 12 children, two of whom preceded him in death, one in infancy and Mary E. Jones Dec 23 1890. Surviving are Mrs. Everett Coffin of Pleasant Plain; Leroy of Whittier, Calif.; Mrs. Frank Hawthorne of Ashby, Neb.; Arthur A. of Creighton, Nebr.; Mrs. Wm. True of Aroya, Colo.; Martha A. and Elven M., Mrs. Walter Cok (Cox?), Hattie L. of Richland, ad Josie M., of Denver, Colo., all of whom were present with the exception of Leroy and Mrs. Hawthorne; they with his wife and his brother Eli Jones of Boulder, Colo., and 11 grandchildren are left to mourn. Birthright member of the Society of Friends. Died at Ottumwa Hospital Sept 19 1918 age 64-4-8. (Bur. Richland?)"
