John Cashmeir STRAZDAS

John Cashmeir STRAZDAS, 67, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at New Beginnings Recovery Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help cover burial costs. Donations may be sent to Tracy Liptak, 301 W. Burlington Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mr. STRAZDAS was born Sept 20, 1943, in Omaha, Neb., the son of John and Elizabeth BIRKNER STRAZDAS.

Mr. STRAZDAS graduated from South High School in 1962. He worked at a packing house in Omaha for several years. In 1988, he left Omaha and moved to Fairfield to pursue his interest in Transcendental Meditation.

Mr. STRAZDAS liked cars and oldies music. He enjoyed practicing meditation.
