"Leward S. Humphrey, son of Sanford and Margaret Humphrey, born at Pleasant Plain, Iowa, Aug 20 1875; died Oct 17 1920 at Lincoln, Neb.; bur. Brighton, Iowa. Married Frances Mitchell at Jacksonville, Ill., June 24 1914. His father and two brothers preceded him in death. He leaves wife, mother, three sisters and four brothers: Iva, Zara and Chas. at home; Mrs. G. A. Spielman, Fairfield; Alonza of Fairfield; Emmett of Oskaloosa, and Roy of Kansas City, Mo."
