"Sanford Humphrey buried at Brighton. Died Thurs. Feb 19 at Jefferson County Hospital. Pneumonia. Son of Mr and Mrs Raleigh Humphrey and was born in Pleasant Plain over 80 years ago. Leaves wife and seven children: A. A. of Richland; Emmett of Oskaloosa, Charlie of Pleasant Plain; L. S. and Roy of Fairfield, and two daughters Iva and Zona at home"
