"Nathan Hoskins, son of Ellis and Ruth Jones Hoskins, born near Pleasant Plain, Iowa, Nov 22 1854, died at home 8 miles n.w. of Fairfield Sunday. Stroke. Interment Evergreen. Spent entire life in Jefferson Co., residing in Black Hawk Township 56 years. Surviving: Wife and two children, Mark of Fairfield and Frank of Brighton, and five grandchildren; brothers and sisters: O. W. Hoskins, Huston, Idaho; M. E. Hoskins, Fowler, Kansas; Mrs. Ellen Singleton, Richland; Mrs. Anna Roberts of Fairfield, and Mrs. Abi Ellis of Fairfield. . . . ."
