"MOSES HOSKINS III, born 18 Dec 1814, Clinton Co., Ohio, d. 2 Jan 1894, bur Quaker Cem., Pleasant Plain, Jefferson Co., Iowa; married 25 Mar 1838 Clinton Co., Ohio to Mary Dillon Edwards, born 19 Jun 1818 Clinton Co., Ohio; d. 7 Mar. 1905, bur. Quaker Cem., Pleasant Plain, Jefferson Co., Iowa. Mary Dillon Edwards was the dau. of Gideon Edwards and Mary Dillon."

"Moses Hoskins was born in Clinton Co., Ohio in 1814 and moved to Iowa with his parents when he was 25 years old, and settled with them near the Jefferson County line in Clay township, Washington County. Married Miss Mary Edwards three years later. . . . .Died Jan 2 1894 age 79 y. 15 d. . . . .Friends Church. . . .Pleasant Plain Cemetery. Leaves wife, seven children, and several grandchildren. . . . ."
