"Mrs. Leona Hamilton, 67, northwest of Brighton, died Thurs. at Jefferson County Hospital. Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. Burial will be in the Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery. Born Aug 13 1896 near Pleasant Plain, dau. of Osborne and Stella VanDyke Gowey. All of her life was spent in Jefferson and Washington Counties. She was married to Harry Hamilton March 18 1920. Surviving are her husband, one sister, Mrs. Carl Daering, Brighton; and two brothers, Merril Gowey and Donald Gowey, both of Richland. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Pleasant Plain Friends Church."
