Death of Mrs. ARMSTRONG.

A telegram received in this city Monday announced the death the previous evening, at Port Deposit, Md., of Mrs. Margaret R. ARMSTRONG, widow of Rev. John ARMSTRONG, the first president of Parsons College. No further particulars have been received to this time. In her last moments Mrs. ARMSTRONG requested that her remains be buried in this city, where those of her husband repose, and they will arrive here tomorrow morning.

The funeral will be in charge of a committee composed of trustees of the college, and it will meet the body at the railway station and escort it to the college chapel. Funeral services will be held at that place at 2:30 p.m., and will be conducted by Rev. Willis G. Craig, president of the board, or in his absence, by President Ambrose C. Smith. The honorary pall bearers are Messrs. Chas. D. Leggett, D. P. Stubbs, B. S. McElhinny, W. W. Junkin, A. S. Jordan and W. E. Thompson, while the active pall bearers will be selected from students of the college. The clergy of the city and the general public are invited to attend the ceremonies. The remains will be interred on the college campus, where those of Dr. ARMSTRONG lie.
