Irma WOODS dies

Irma WOODS, native of Batavia, died at 5:40 p.m. Thursday at Wesley Acres Methodist Home in Des Moines.

Services were held this morning at Dunn Funeral Home in Des Moines and burial services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Irma WOODS was born in Batavia and spent her early life in Birmingham where her father, the late Dr. Harry WOODS, practiced medicine for a number of years.

A resident of Des Moines for 44 years, Irma WOODS was librarian at the State Capitol until her retirement.
