NELLE GOLTRY DIES AT 81

Nelle C. Goltry, 81, former Fairfield resident, died at 12:45 a.m. today at the Southwest Health Center in Platteville, Wisc.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. David Kennedy will officiate and burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

Mrs. Goltry was the wife of Dr. T. Keith Goltry who was a member of the teaching staff at Parsons College before it closed. They have lived at Platteville since 1972. Her husband survives.

Nelle C. Goltry was born April 29, 1903, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of William L. and Frances Minster Coop. Her marriage to T. Keith Goltry took place May 23, 1928.

Mrs. Goltry was a teacher at the elementary, junior high and high school in the Fairfield School District for a number of years. She also taught in rural schools in Jefferson and surrounding counties.

Mrs. Goltry was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ and Delta Kappa Gamma Society.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Goltry is survived by a son, Dr. Thomas S. Goltry, Platteville, and a daughter, Marjorie Goltry, Jersey City, N.J., and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
