"Mrs. Everett Coffin (Cora Waters) died at her home in Pleasant Plain May 6; born Nov 6 1876 in Washington County, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Waters. In Feb. 1899 married Everett Coffin, six children. . . . .Buried Friends Cemetery, Pleasant Plain."

"Mrs. Everett Coffin. Miss Cora Waters was born Nov 6 1876 in Washington Co., Iowa, died May 4 (or 6?) 1911 age 34-6-2. She resided with her parents, Martin and Mary Waters until Feb. 1899 when she married Everett Coffin. Six children, Albert age 11, Edith, 10; Bertha, 7, Mabel, 6; Earl, 2, and Glen, 3 months. Leaves husband, children, father, mother, three sisters and one brother, Ida Coffin of Pleasant Plain, Myrtle Coffin of Fairfield, and Minnie Morrison of Galesburg, Ill. . . . .Cause of death, blood poison and then T.B. Friends Church. . . . .Laid to rest in the Pleasant Plain Cemetery to await the resurrection morning."
