"Mrs. Clyde Coffin, 76, Pleasant Plain, died today at Jefferson County Hospital. Injured in auto accident near Pleasant Plain on June 9. Gould Funeral Home in Brighton. . . . ."

"PLEASANT PLAIN. Funeral will be Wed. 2 p.m. at Pleasant Plain Friends church. . . . .Burial will be in the Pleasant Plain Cemetery. The former Alta Schafer, Mrs. Coffin was born Dec 27 1887 in Jefferson Co., daughter of John and Amelia Dallner Schafer. She attended Pleasant Plain Academy. Married to Clyde Coffin Mar. 27 1917. All of her married life was spent on a farm northwest of Pleasant Plain. Member Pleasant Plain Friends church. Survived by her husband, one foster son, Alfred McCracken; 3 foster grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Edna Crile, Brighton. One son and two brothers preceded her in death."
