"Ralph Brady, 74, of Arlington, Virginia, died June 4. Son of A. C. and Anna Paxson Brady, born near Pleasant Plain Oct 1 1891. In May, 1949 married Olga Sprain at Washington, D.C. Grad. Pleasant Plain Academy and from Iowa State College at Ames. For a number of years he was employed as an electrical engineer with the General Electric Co. and the E. G. Budd Co. in Philadelphia, Penn. He worked on the first Zephyr trains which were built by the Budd Company. Prior to his retirement in 1961 he served for 23 years in the Engineering Division of the Government Navy Yards at Washington, D.C. Survivors include his wife and one sister, Mrs. Seth Hoskins of Richland. Funeral services and burial were at Dallas, Texas, the former home of Mrs. Brady."
