"Aurelia C. Edmunds was born in Northampton Co., Pa., Oct 31 1820; died Feb 16, aged 84 y. 3 m. 15 d.; married John Angstead in June 1839. Fourteen children, seven sons and seven daughters, 10 of whom survive. They are: Wm. F. of Tobias, Neb.; Hiram S. of Fairfield; Elizabeth Eshelman of Lockridge; Irven F. of Chicago; Caroline Lynn of Pleasant Plain; Mary Vogel of Corrizo, Col.; Agnes Coop of Denison, Iowa; Stephen A. of Pleasant Plain; Hugh J. of Monmouth, Ill. Moved to Iowa in 1850 and located on a farm near Brighton. . . . .moved to Pleasant Plain about 12 years ago. Husband died in 1896. Laid to rest beside husband in Friends cemetery at Pleasant Plain."
