LOCAL MISCELLANY.

A sad affliction has fallen upon the home of Mr. and Mrs. John DAVIES in the death of their little son, about six years of age (sic - 6 months), which occurred in this city Sunday after an illness of considerable duration. The funeral occurred Monday afternoon. To make the affliction still greater Mr. DAVIES is still confined to his room by rheumatism. ...

... The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. John DAVIES, aged between 6 and 7 months and named Latham, died Sunday and was buried Monday. It is a sad affliction to the loving parents to lose their little one who had already twined himself so closely around their hearts, but the affliction is a doubly severe one at this time when Mr. DAVIES himself is ill and confined to his bed. Many sympathizing friends extend the sorrowing hand of friendship to the parents in the misfortunes that have fallen on them. ...
