MRS. W. S. SHAW DIED AT HOME

Mrs. W. S. SHAW, life-time resident of Fairfield, passed away at her home, 309 West Jefferson street, yesterday evening at 5:15 p. m. Her death came after a serious illness of several months. She had been in failing health the past two years.

Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church Sunday at 3:30 p. m. in charge of Dr. L. H. Scheerer. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. The body will be taken from the Hoskins funeral home to the family home this afternoon.

Maude Elizabeth SHAW was born at Fairfield December 19, 1880, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dennis GREEN. She married William S. SHAW December 25, 1905. She lived her entire life in this city. was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the Methodist church. Her husband preceded her in death November 9, 1939.

Mrs. SHAW is survived by the following children: Mrs. Leona NELSON, Chicago; Harry D. SHAW, Fairfield; Darrell C., Walter L., Robert W., all of Chicago; and Max L., Fairfield. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Diane SHAW, Chicago; a brother, Oscar GREEN, Pierre, South Dakota; and two sisters, Mary TRAIL, Fairfield, and Mrs. C. B. MORTENSON, San Francisco, California.

A son, Forest, died in infancy.
