PERKINS, Myron Duane -- Myron Duane PERKINS, 77, of Knoxville died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, after a sudden illness.

The funeral is planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Knoxville.

No flowers are requested. All memorials will go to Camp-Ia-Dis-Eca, Hospice of Central Iowa and Trinity Lutheran Church. Online condolence for the family at www.iowacremation.com. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.

Mr. PERKINS was born May 9, 1933, in Indianola the son of Wilbur and Edna Mae PERKINS. He married LouAnn SCHULTZ July 16, 1960, in Knoxville,

He graduated from Indianola High School and attended Simpson College and CCCC in Des Moines.

Mr. PERKINS is a veteran of the Korean conflict serving with the U. S. Navy.

He was in agricultural sales for more than 30 years.

Mr. and Mrs. PERKINS lived many years in the Fairfield area and attended church there. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Knoxville.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife LouAnn; three sons, Michael PERKINS of Zionville, Ind., Brian PERKINS of Knoxville and Bruce PERKINS of Lebanon, Ind.; one daughter, Rebecca LUNDEEN of Knoxville; three sisters, Miriam CLEVELAND, Martha KRAGNESS, Carol ARRASMITH; one brother, Larry PERKINS; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
