WILLIAM HARVEY TULLER

William Harvey son of Edwin and Susan TULLER was born September 28, 1867 on a farm in the Cross Lanes community, Jefferson county, Iowa. He departed this life at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 14 days on March 13, 1940 at the G. B. Parsons home seven miles east of Fairfield. He had resided here for the past year.

All of his life had been lived in Jefferson county excepting a few years at Stockport, Iowa and Perry, Oklahoma. His occupation was farming.

Early in life he became a member of the Cross Lanes Presbyterian church, later he moved his membership to the Bethesda church. He was made a member of the Odd Fellow lodge in 1900.

One of a family of eight children he was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Susan TULLER, and by two sisters and one brother.

He was united in marriage to Nellie M. GOW on December 20, 1892, she preceded him in death passing away on March 28, 1921. Two daughers were born to this union, one passing away in infancy and Gladys residing near Birmingham, Iowa.

On February 14, 1935 he was united in marriage to Maude A. PARSONS and to this union one son, Louis Eugene, was born. To mourn his departure he leaves his sorrowing wife, Maude, his son Louis Eugene, his daughter Gladys, two brothers George H. of Ottumwa and Charles of Batavia and two sisters, Mrs. Mary E. DUNSWORTH of Ellensburg, Washington and Mrs. Bertha PARRETT of Birmingham, Alabama. Besides these there are a number of relatives and friends who will mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held from the Hoskins funeral home last Saturday. The remains were interred in the Evergreen cemetery at Fairfield.
