Julius Floyd DIERS

Julius Floyd DIERS, 94, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Word of Life Lutheran Church on Libertyville Road, in Fairfield.

Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Word of Life Lutheran Church or Hospice of Central Iowa. Cards and memorials may be sent to PO Box 326 Brighton 52540.

Mr. DIERS was born Oct. 6, 1915, the son of Frank and Elizabeth DIERS of the Richwoods Community of Jefferson County. He married Margaret HOLLANDER April 5, 1942. She died July 1, 1998.

Survivors include four children: Julianna DIERS and friend Cathy Buchanan of Sparks, Nev., Rose WILSON and husband Larry of St. Simons Island, Ga., Carolyn SCHLICHER and husband Dan of Brighton and Larry DIERS and wife Terri of Brighton; four grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
