Note: A headstone inscription with name and dates for Thomas P Whitaker is on the reverse side of the joint headstone for his parents at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa (Old.P.345). As of 2005 local records did not show that his cremains had been buried. It is presumed that they have since been buried, but clarification would be appreciated.
