Zellie Eugenie WRIGHT

Zellie Eugenie WRIGHT, 95, of Fairfield, died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 1999 at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

A memorial service and Requiem Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24 at St. Gabriel and All Angels Liberal Catholic Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Zellie Eugenie BARRY was born September 24, 1903 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of Eugene and Annie GLERE BARRY. Her sisters, Mary, Dorine, and Annett, and her brothers, Edward, Charles, Eugene, and Robert are deceased. Zellie was the mother of Barry Donald DOWNING, Anne Margaret REGAN, and Patricia REGAN ARGIRO. Only Patricia REGAN ARGIRO survives. Zellie has five grandchildren, Dianne DOWNING of Kansas City, Missourie, Elisa Maria BUTTERFIELD of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Vincent James ARGIRO and Jason ARGIRO, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Brian DOWNING of Phoenix, Arizona. She also has four great-grandchildren, Michael Gianni ARGIRO, Teagan Soloman ARGIRO, Amy YORK HARRIS and Peter YORK.

Zellie traveled widely, residing in Hawaii for ten years and in several other states before settling in New York state for 47 years. She moved to Fairfield at the age of 90 to accompany her daughter Patricia and enjoy her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
