Rites Today For Jay D. SHERMAN

Funeral services were scheduled to 2 p.m. today for Jay D. SHERMAN, 65, longtime resident of Jefferson County.

The rites were scheduled at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald L. Hickman in charge. Burial is to be in Batavia Cemetery.

SHERMAN died at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Fairfield Convalesent Home where he had been seriously ill the past three months.

Jay D SHERMAN was born Sept. 2, 1905, at Keosauqua, the son of Archie and Mamie PEARSON SHERMAN. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Ralph SHERMAN, Stronghurst, Ill.; Mrs. Lena WALKER, Bloomfield; Phillip SHERMAN, Pulaski; Mrs. Dorothy NORTON, Mount Pleasant; Mrs. Nellie DIERS, Macomb. Ill.; and Mrs. Virginia MASON, Macomb.
