Monday February 14, 2000Edward ALLENDER Jr., 301 N. Court St., died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Jefferson County Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Kent officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
The son of John Edward and Nellie KIMES ALLENDER, he was born at Fairfield on Feb. 7, 1919. He married Marjorie A. TALLEY in Fairfield on May 8, 1943.
He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1939 and then attended Parsons College. He lived most of his life in the Fairfield area, and worked with the Army-Navy Quartermaster Corps from 1942 to 1946. He owned and operated Allender's Real Estate for 32 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Elks Lodge No. 1192, past president of Kiwanis Club and past president of Methodist Men.
He is survived by his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, 4th.114. His parents are buried in the same plot.
