CORBIN, Robert C. 'Bob' -- Robert C. "Bob" CORBIN, 82, of Kansas City, Mo., died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at home.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Maple Grove Cemetery in Cantril, with the Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Military rites will be provided by American Legion Russell-Strait Post 483 of Milton.
Memorials to Maple Grove Cemetery may be taken to the service or may be mailed to the family at 11400 Jackson Ave., Kansas City, MO 64137.
Mr. CORBIN was born April 9, 1927, in Hardin, Mo., the son of Harry E. and Cora CORBIN. He married Glenna Elizabeth SHUFFLEBARGER. She died July 9, 2005.
Mr. CORBIN graduated from high school in Bucklin, Mo. He worked at Bendix Corp. in Kansas City for 31 years. He also had a career as a house painting contractor.
Mr. CORBIN served in the United States Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Nancy B. CORBIN of Kansas City, Mo., Barbara F. CORBIN of Weatherby Lake, Mo., and Melinda A. FRIEDMAN and husband Bruce of Chesterfield, Mo.; four grandchildren; and one brother, William CORBIN of Kansas City.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings.
