G.E. WOOLSEY Dies Suddenly At His Home

Death came early this morning following a heart attack

George E. WOOLSEY, 66, well known Fairfield resident, passed away suddenly this morning about 3:20 a.m. at his home at 505 West Adams street. His death was due to a heart attack after an illness of two days.

Mr. WOOLSEY was born January 30, 1877 at Cherry Valley, Crawford County, Missouri. He was the son of the late Eliza (sic. a/k/a Elijah) and Dulcena WOOLSEY.

He was a moulder by trade and was employed at the Dexter Company. He had followed that trade for the past 48 years. He continued his work until last Saturday and became ill since.

Mr. WOOLSEY is survived by his wife and the following children; four daughters, Violet WOOLSEY, Virginia DARLING, Dulcena POTTORFF, all of Fairfield; Florence WOOLSEY, Washington, D.C.; and four sons Jerry, Fairfield; Howard, Wichita Falls, Texas; Donald, Sacramento, Calif.; and Burton, Norfolk, Va.

He is also survived by two sisters, Pauline LAMBERT, Brighton; Annie WRIGHT, Fairfield; two brothers, Martin WOOLSEY, Iowa; and Thomas WOOLSEY, East Moline, Ill.; and 10 grandchildren. Five children preceded him in death.

The body was taken to the Weston Behner funeral home and funeral services are pending.
