Thursday May 3, 1951DEATH CLAIMS CLARA HEFLIN
Death came early this morning to Mrs. Perry E. HEFLIN, long-time resident of Fairfield whose address is 304 S. Main street. She passed away at a hospital in Mt. Pleasant after an illness of about a year.
Clara B. HEFLIN, 81, was born February 14, 1870, in Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel K. BOOKER.
She was united in marriage in March, 1931, to Perry E. HEFLIN, who preceded his wife in death on February 18, 1950. Both were long-time residents of this community and well known by many people.
Mrs. HEFLIN was a member of the Presbyterian church, the P.E.O. and was the last of her family.
She is survived by one stepson, Wilson HEFLIN, Fairfield; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Leland PAGE, Ottumwa. She is also survived by two nephews and one niece.
The body is at the Hoskins funeral home where last rites are (sic)

Last rites will be Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Perry E. HEFLIN, well known Fairfield resident who passed away Thursday morning after an illness of about a year.
The services will be at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home with Dr. Curtis R. Douglass in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

Public Notice Is Hereby Given:That the undersigned has this day been appointed and commissioned by the District Court of Jefferson County, in the State of Iowa, administrator of the estate of Clara B. HEFLIN, Deceased.
All persons having claims against said estate are hereby notified to file them with the Clerk of said Court, clearly stated and duly sworn to, and within legal time, preparatory to their being allowed or proved, and persons owing said estate are requested to make immediate payment to the undersigned and avoid any costs.
Dated at Fairfield, Iowa, this 4th day of June, A. D. 1951.
