Monday March 16, 1914Abner SNOOK Died Sunday
Abner Aber SNOOK passed away at his home yesterday morning at 5:15 o'clock after a serious illness of two weeks.
Mr. SNOOK was the son of Hercules and Jane SNOOK and was born in Ohio, December 21, 1841. With his parents he came to Iowa in 1843 and has spent most of his life in Jefferson county. Several years ago he went to Davenport but returned to Fairfield two years ago. He was married to Miss Jeanette TULLER, on June 29th, 1862, and seven children were born to them, the eldest of whom, Minnie, died when she was 11 years of age.
Mr. SNOOK is survived by his wife and six children, Mrs. Pearl FULTON Mrs. Hattie CAREY, Bert A. SNOOK, and Arthur P. SNOOK of Fairfield, Harry L. SNOOK of Texas, and Mrs. E. C. JAMISON of Rock Island, Ill Two sisters are also left to mourn his death, Mrs. John BROWN of Frankfort, Ind., and Mrs. Will HIATT of Colorado City, Col.
Funeral services were held at one o'clock this afternoon at the home and were in charge of Rev. H. F Carpenter.
Burial was in (sic. Upper) Richwoods cemetery.
