PEIFFER, Vincent Richard -- Vincent Richard PEIFFER, 94, of Grand Rapids, Mich., died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Robert of Newminster, with the Rev. Len Sudlik officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Mausoleum.

Family visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Memorials may be made to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods.

Arrangements are in the care of Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Mr. PEIFFER graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked in various management positions in industry. In his retirement years, he enjoyed building houses, including several in East Grand Rapids.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane DeVRIES and Donna Jean PEIFFER.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Ethel and Patricia; and one sister, Edith Marie FUNK, who had lived in Fairfield.
