MAUDLIN, Marjorie 'Marge' -- Marjorie "Marge" MAUDLIN, 67, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Arrangements are in the care of Behner Funeral Home of Fairfield.

MAUDLIN, Marjorie 'Marge' -- Marjorie (Marge) MAUDLIN passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Mercy Hosiptal in Iowa City, IA, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Fairfield Elks Lodge on Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private burial of cremains will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorials be made in lieu of flowers to the Marge Maudlin Memorial for the Maudlin great-grandchildren college trust fund.

Cards of sympathy and memorials may be sent c/o: 703 W. Taylor, Fairfield, IA 52556.

Marge was born September 28, 1942 to Helen BRACHNEY and Lloyd SIMMONS in Burlington, IA. She married Lyle MAUDLIN in Burlington on April 6, 1959. They were blessed with two sons: Brent Leroy MAUDLIN and Brad Lee MAUDLIN.

Marge was preceded in death by her sons, Brent and Brad; her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Roy COE; brother Robert SIMMONS; and her parents.

Marge is survived by her husband of 50 years, Lyle MAUDLIN; her beloved grandchildren: Brent MAUDLIN II, and Holliey (Brandon BRINKMEIER) MAUDLIN; her very special great-grandchildren: Angelina MAUDLIN and Hailey BRINKMEIER, all of Fairfield. Survivors include four sisters: Vivian (John) PLATE of Grinnell, IA, Patty (Lewis) MITCHELL of Melrose, IA, Ann (Ed) DAVS of New Sharon, IA, and Judy BUSHONG of Montezuma, IA; and brothers: Les (Janet) MAUDLIN of Norwalk, IA, Larry (Dixie) MAUDLIN of Fremont, IA; and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
