Dean H. BAGBY, 64, of Stockport, died at 5:35 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Reva Rimmer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Open visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. Saturday with family visitation from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Henry County Nursing Association.
Mr. BAGBY was born Sept. 26, 1934, in Jefferson County, the son of Chester and Berdina (sic.- Berdena) ANDERSON BAGBY. He married Ramona FLICKINGER March 21, 1954, in Fairfield.
He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1952 and from American Institute of Business in Des Moines.
The BAGBYs returned to the Stockport community four years ago. Mr. BAGBY had been a salesman for Zep Manufacturing Co. in Kansas City, Mo., before his retirement.
He was a member of Stockport United Methodist Church, Fairfield Lions Club, J.C.I. Senator #18185, J.C.I. Embassador (sic.- Ambassador?) #568, and Traveling Tigers Camping Club of Mount Pleasant.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his mother of Fairfield; two sons, Rodney BAGBY of Mount Pleasant and Roland BAGBY of Des Moines; two daughters, Rebecca MORROW of Tifton, Ga., and Renee VAN RYCKE of Burlington; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
