JOYCE A. GITHENS

Joyce, 62, died May 30, 2001, at a local hospital. She was designer and owner of Spiffy Skirts and retired from Garden of the Gods Club as the senior accountant. She had been a teacher in San Francisco before moving to Colorado Springs in 1968.

Joyce was born May 25, 1939, in Perlee, Iowa, Jefferson County to Adam and Barbara C. (DRZYCIMSKI) MOSINSKI. Her father is deceased.

She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie C. HELANDER and Katherine N. GITHENS, both of Colorado Springs; a son-in-law, Robert HELANDER; her mother of Fairfield, Iowa; a sister, Betty L. ROACH of Fairfield; and a grandchild.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bear Creek Nature Center, Pavilion No. 4, 245 Bear Creek Road. A private burial was held. Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608, is handling arrangements.
