LAIR, Carolyn Sue -- Carolyn Sue LAIR, 51, of New London, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel in New London, with the Rev. Dan Dingus officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery in rural Mount Union.

Visitation began at noon today at the chapel, where the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.

Mrs. LAIR was born Feb. 20, 1957, in Monmouth, Ill., the daughter of Byron and Barbara BILLINGSLEY MILLER. She married Jeffrey LAIR April 28, 2001, in New London.

Mrs. LAIR was a 1976 graduate of New London High School. She was employed at Mackay Envelope in Mount Pleasant for 23 years.

She attended Harmony Bible Church.

Mrs. LAIR enjoyed water sports and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed shopping with her daughters and spoiling her children.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Samanth KELLY and husband Drew of New London, Calie BLOOM and husband Phillip of Roseville, Minn., and Justine TORRES and husband Victor of Elk Grove, Ill.; one son, Kenny LAIR and wife Kara of Burlington; five grandchildren; two brothers, Doug McDONALD of Mount Pleasant and Ben MILLER of Houston, Texas; and five sisters, Yvonne VORHIES of Fairfield, Dayle BLANCO of Burlington, Jean WESTERBECK of New London, Janice NEWMAN of Mount Pleasant and Sharon GRAHAM of Phoenix, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.
