CANADAY, Marietta KIMMEL -- Marietta KIMMEL CANADAY, 92, of Fairfield, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Jim McGaffey officiating. Interment in Iowaville Cemetery in Selma will follow a luncheon.
Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. CANADAY was born June 24, 1916, in Bonaparte, the daughter of John and Louisa MINER KIMMEL. She married Dale Ora CANADAY July 27, 1935, in Cantril. He died Aug. 15, 1991.
Mrs. CANADAY was an elementary school teacher for 20 years in the Van Buren and Cardinal school districts.
She attended First United Methodist Church and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include four children, Kay BERG and husband Floyd of Brighton, Della CARDER and husband Jack of Cherokee Village, Ark., Gary CANADAY and wife Nancy of Marion and Dixie KINSETH and husband Jeff of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Helen LEYDEN of Washington, Iowa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Janice Marie; one grandson; and eight siblings, Henry, George, Paul, Fred, Lucy, Edith, Eleanor and Ruth.
