Clarence Grover McELVAIN, 81, retired Jefferson County farmer, died early today at the Fairfield Convalescent Home. Raymond Funeral Home. Burial in Packwood Cemetery. Lifetime resident of the Packwood and Libertyville areas. Born May 26, 1889, near Packwood, son of William and Louisa RUSSELL McELVAIN; married Hazel DAVIS Dec. 14, 1910, Member Packwood Christian Church. Survived by his widow and two daughters: Mrs. Walter CLARK, Packwood; and Mrs. Leo DeGOOD, Fairfield; one granddaughter and two greatgrandchildren. Four sisters preceded him in death.
